There are some exciting things coming this year to North Cheektowaga Amateur Athletic Association’s sports teams. The first? We’re getting an app, which we are labeling “MyNC”. To answer your first two questions right off the bat, yes it’s free and yes, it will be available to both Android and iPhone users, but please, take that debate to another forum.
Inside the “MyNC” you’ll be able to see plenty of options. To start off, some self-promotion on our end in the “About” section (it’s our app; we can do as we please) with a little run-down of what we offer, our Code of Ethics, and several ways of how you can get ahold of us. Baseball, softball, football/cheerleading, and basketball will each have their own section. Each respective sections when clicked, will provide you with tons of information including maps, directions, coaches and their contacts, schedules, game results, and standings.
There’s an NCAAA Staff section with a small bio about our board members, as well as contact information for some. Events, Places, Gallery, and News also have a section, where you get the latest news about events, where they’ll be and how to get there and pictures to view too! If you want even more, you can subscribe to our newsletter right from there as well.
And because this is our app, we added our Twitter and Facebook accounts where you can be a few clicks away from Liking and Following us. If you’re not already doing this, please go do it now … I’ll wait.
One of the best features about “MyNC” is its Push Notification ability. Just like any other app you have on your phone, “MyNC” will be able to send you live updates for event reminders, game results, practice cancellations, and more!
Lastly, a quick swipe left will let you see all of our league sponsors. Interested in one of them? All you have to do is click and it will take you right to their company website or contact information.
Impressed? Excited? We are too. “MyNC” is our virtual pat-on-the-back. We here at NCAAA hope you enjoy it. Take a look around and take part in all the different things we have to offer.
